Cookie Dough Fundraising Tips to a successful Fundraiser that works well
What to communicate for the
fundraiser?
A description of the products
being sold.
Estimated time of arrival of
the product (generally 2 weeks after the campaign ends).
Information regarding the
distribution of the product including hours, locations, etc.
Name and contact number of all
key persons involved.
Encourage participants to
bring backpacks or bags to help carry the cookie dough home.
During the Fundraiser and
Kick Off!
Cookie dough should have a
kick off just like any other fundraiser program.
Bake and provide fresh cookies
on kick-off day to each member of the fundraising group.
Explain to the group why your
raising the money and what the money will be used for. Get them involved and
motivated to achieve your goals.
Explain the amount of funds
the group is looking to raise and how much product each participant should
focus on selling. Again, make sure they know their target for how many
units they should sell, since they don't know what is expected.
Give a prize to the top seller
as recognition for their great work. That usually gets them more interested.
It doesn't have to be expensive, movie passes are great.

Preparing before the
delivery arrives
We normally deliver within 16
days of receipt of the order. You will be notified when the delivery leaves
the distribution center and the shipping company will normally call to
schedule the arrival time.
The cookie dough will arrive
frozen and packed in dry ice.
Work to arrange for a
distribution area (preferably in doors).
Work to arrange for storage of
any unclaimed cookie dough (the shipping pallet can be reassembled for the
sake of storing cookie dough to keep it cold for a short period if needed).
The day of the delivery
You should be on site to
assist with the coordination and distribution effort.
If you can not attend, please
take the time to educate one of the other campaign members on key issues
related to distribution.
-
use emptied cases to
assist in distribution.
-
Provide plastic bags for
easy handling (no more than 4 tubs per bag!).
-
discourage the practice of
sending the product home with students (if school fundraiser),
especially younger students as they may be unable to handle the weight.
Good Luck and most of all make this a
fun event for everyone involved from start to finish.
